Ever since the start of House of Q, this is THE sauce that we are known to have crafted….  it has fans across North America and it has won our competition BBQ cook team many, many awards for pork dishes including 6th place at the prestigious 2014 Jack Daniels World Invitational BBQ contest in Lynchburg, TN.

Our long-time friend Steve Darling from Global TV BC was one of the first big fans and to this day he puts Apple Butter on everything!

Story

Apple Butter BBQ Sauce started at home with 40 pounds of apples. We peeled, cored, and then simmered them with molasses, brown sugar, cinnamon and rum – to name just some of the ingredients. Our first batch was pressure-canned, just like Mom taught us, and we debuted it at BBQ competitions. It must have been good, because we won awards when we used it!

Description

Apple Butter BBQ Sauce is a sweet, thick, smoky BBQ sauce with an aroma of apples, cinnamon and molasses. Its flavour is balanced between tangy bite and spice, with a texture like smooth apple sauce.

Common Applications

Perfect for glazing grilled chicken, pork ribs, chops or tenderloin. Awesome condiment on anything grilled or wanting a rich BBQ sauce flavour.

Other Uses

Simmered in sautéed onions or used in hand-made burgers or meatloaf.

Ingredients

Apple puree, molasses, tomato paste, brown sugar, water, apple juice, liquid honey, cider vinegar, canola oil, Worcestershire Sauce (distilled vinegar, molasses, corn syrup, water, salt, caramel color, garlic, sugar, spices, anchovies, tamarind, natural flavor), natural liquid smoke, lemon juice, onion, garlic, spices.
